The exhibition presents works by well-known Kirovograd painters - regional
Alexander Osmerkin Award in fine arts and study of art and Regional Yakov Pauchenko Award
in the sphere of architecture, heraldy and veksilology and decorative and applied art in
2005-2013 – People’s Artist of Ukraine M.V.Nadezhdin, Honoured Artists of Ukraine
S.H.Shapovalov, A.M.Yanev, G.M.Gnatuk and A.M.Nadezhdin, Honoured workers of culture of
Ukraine L.I.Bondar and V.M.Ostapenko, members of the National Union of artists of Ukraine
V.V.Kiryanov, F.F.Lagno, F.M.Polonski, A.M.Dvorski, L.G.Kiryanova, I.V.Smychek,
V.V.Frenchko, O.M.Zhuravel (Nadezhdina), V.V.Popov, O.A.Pungina, Yu.V.Goncharenko,
M.I.Tserna. Each work brightly reflects creative work of each master and is an adornment
of the museum collection of works of modern Ukrainian art.
Regional Alexander Osmerkin Award in fine arts and study of art was founded
in 2005 and is awarded annually on December, 8, A.A.Osmerkin’s birthday, in three
nominations: "national tradition", "modern tendencies", "study
and history of arts". Event is held in A.A.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum.
Regional Award in the sphere of architecture, heraldy and veksilology and
decorative and applied art named after Yakov Pauchenko was initiated in 2002 and is
awarded annually on July 1, Day of Architecture of Ukraine, in three nominations:
"architecture", "heraldry and vexillology", "decorative and
applied arts".
Laureates are awarded certificate, pecuniary reward, honorary prize of
Regional Council and Regional State Administration - statuette of "Steppe
eagle".
Art awards are real stimulation for active creative work of painters, art
historians, regional ethnographers, it also promotes creative achievements of Kirovograd
masters in Ukraine and beyond it.
More than 30 paintings, graphic works, sculptures and works of arts and
crafts of famous Kirovograd painters are shown at the exhibition. All items are from the
museum collection. Landscapes, still lifes and theme compositions create an atmosphere of
art feast, brightly showing special, unique colour of Ukrainian sunny palette born by
colours of boundless sky, fragrant steppe grass, fleeting rivers and block pavements of
ancient streets. |
