On September 17, 2016 262th anniversary of Kropyvnytskyi, former Kirovohrad, and Elizavethrad from birth, was celebrated under slogan “Town of my dream!”.Numerous festive events were held on the streets of the town, at Heroes of Maidan Square and in Kovalivskyi Park. Different theme exhibitions, art presentations, workshops, art open airs and performances of creative groups took place at “Meeting on Dvortsova” in quarters “Historical”, “Professional”, “Exhibition”, “Students’” and “A quarter of muses”.
   O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum, together with other town museums, libraries, art school and school of arts, presented two mobile exhibitions “As a remembrance for tourists”.Advertising printed matter of O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum” and “Town of Yakiv Pauchenko” to the 150-th anniversary of Elisavethrad architect Yakiv Pauchenko in the quarter “Exhibition”, which was located on Dvortsova Str. (from Dekabrystiv Str. To Shulhinyh Str.). By the way, the exhibition “Town of Yakiv Pauchenko” of copies of unique documenta, sketches of architectural projects and photographs from the Pauchenko-Osmerkin family album became a wonderful addition to photoexposition “Gem in the center of Ukraine” opened last year to Town Day in the public garden where Town Honours Board was located. The photoexposition showed coloured photographs of modern town landscapes – central streets and squares, Inhulembankment, monuments to prominent scientists and cultural workers. Also there was a separate section dedicated to Ya.Pauchenko that demonstrated photo portrait of the well-known architect, who became one of the creators of the architectural ensemble of the historical center of our town, and, his architectural works which now are monuments of architecture and urban planning of local importance, including his own house where O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum is situated.
   The museum was a co-organizer of one more exposition – Exhibition of students’ works of College of Construction, majoring in “architectural design and interior”. Sketches and graduate graphic works in discipline “Design of architectural environment”on the topic “The project proposal of reconstruction of side part near the main building of Kirovohrad College of Construction” were shown at this exhibition. The works were made under the supervision of lecturer, member of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine TetianaPeniaz.
   These and other exhibitions, and also the open air of pupils and teachers of Children’s Art School named after O.O.Osmerkin and the Fine Art Department of Children’s School of Arts, attracted much attention and interest of the dwellers, who wrote wishes to the native town on the theme stand, made by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Town Council.
