On July 1, 2016 on Day of Architecture of Ukraine celebration of giving of Regional Award in the sphere of architecture, heraldry and veksilology and decorative and applied art named after Yakiv Pauchenko in 2016 took place in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum.
   Honorary awards were given by head of Kirovohrad Regional Council, head of the jury of the award O.Chornoivanenko and head of the Department of Regional Development, Urban Planning and Architecture of Kirovohrad Regional State Administration V.Kulikova. The Awards were received by the laureates: in the nomination “heraldry and vexilology” – member of Ukrainian Heraldry Society Filimonov Volodymyr Serhiiovych for the development of heraldry symbols for the village of Krups’ke, Kirovohrad district, Kirovohrad region, which was founded at the end of XVIII century by the family of Germans-mennonites from East Prussian Danzig; in the nomination "decorative and applied arts" – member of the National Union of Artists of decorative and applied arts of Ukraine, senior lecturer of Choreographic course of study, fine art and design faculty of Art and Graphic Subdepartment of Art Department of Kirovohrad State Pedagogical University named after V.Vynnychenko Harbuzenko Larysa Volodymyrivna for creative works made in the techniques of decorative painting, vytynanka, nabiika and batik which reflect historical traditions of Ukrainian folk painting and implement elements of wall ornaments of Kirovohrad region to the modern decorative and applied art.
   Letters of commendation from Kirovohrad Regional Council were given to the contenders for the award – member of the National Union of the Architects of Ukraine, chief architect of projects of private enterprise “ServisInvest” I.Drofa, member of Ukrainian Heraldry Society, director of Oleksandria local history museum V.Biloshapka and head of Znamianka Association of Artists of Arts and Crafts R.Aivazovska.
   A memorable gist – watch with coat of arms of the town received head of Kirovohrad Regional Organization of the National Union of the Architects of UkraineL.Kharlamova from deputy head of Kirovohrad mayor O.Hrabenko, who also awarded Honorary diploma to Kirovohrad architect Yu.Peniaz mentioning that we had the honor to live in a beautiful town, which had become such due to the work of architects.
   Head of Kirovohrad Regional Organization of the National Union of the Architects of Ukraine L.Kharlamova addressed a congratulatory speech to all the present, among which the majority were architects. She also awarded Diplomas to general director of Private Joint Stock Company “Institute “Kirovohradahroproect” Merited Constructor of Ukraine P.Dovchenko and Kirovohrad architect, who was chief architect of the town, H.Lytvyn. Also director of Kirovohrad College of Construction O.Taran with this year graduate Iryna Dmitrieva gave speech wishing creative development and realization of architectural projects. They also told about worthy shift of the town constructors, which is being prepared by the educational establishment.
A performance of teachers of Kirovohrad musical school №1 named after H.Neuhaus became a nice musical gift. The school is situated in the building constructed in the end of XIX century by the project of Elisabethrad architect Ya.Pauchenko.
   A festive mood encouraged architects, artist sand all the present to sincere communication and viewing of the museum theme exhibitions, including works of the laureates and contenders of the Award named after Ya.Pauchenko 2016.
