On June 4, 2016 O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum participated in First “Festival of tourism and local history on Cossacks Island”, which took place in Kirovohrad in park named after Pushkin.
   The festival was organized by Department of Culture and Tourism of Kirovohrad Town Council together with Kirovohrad regional centre of tourism, local history and tours of youth. A lot events took place during the festival – bike tourism olympics, sport orientation quest, competition on a rock climbing wall and many others.
   The visitors of the festival were attracted by the expositions of the town museums - O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum, Litrrary and Memorial Museum of I.Karpenko-Karyi and Museum of Music Culture named after K.Szymanowski, and also different exhibitions – photo, geological and decorative and applied arts.
   The gem of the event was a presentation of an album “City Travel Guide” elaborated by Department of Culture and Tourism of Kirovohrad Town Council. This unique edition will be useful for all Kirovohrad dwellers, and especially for the visitors of the town. The travel guide tells about the town attractions and architectural monuments, churches and cathedrals, recreation parks and hotels, philharmonics and museums, where one can learn about the history of the region and prominent artists.
