On April 28, 2016 on the eve of Ester pupils of Kirovohrad children’s art school named after Olexander Osmerkin came to O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum.
   Young artists together with their teacher O.Kryvko, who is involved not only into pedagogical activity, but also into spiritual, as he is an archpriest, listened to the lecture “Iconostasis, art and icon painting and gliding studio of Ya.Pauchenko” dedicated to the 150th anniversary of a well-known Elisabethhrad architect. Also the pupils viewed the exhibition “Ukrainian icon from the museum collection” to Easter.
   The leading researcher of the museum A.Nadezhdin told the pupils about Yakiv Pauchenko, whose name is being known not only because of his architectural practice, but also as an owner of iconostasis, art and icon painting and gliding studio, which was inherited from his father. The studio was honoured with awards on industrial exhibitions of the end of XIX – beginning of XX centuries. The speech was illustrated by unique photo-documentary materials from the museum collection, which were exhibited at the theme exhibition “Artist of architecture Yakiv Pauchenko”.
   At the end of the event the pupils viewed the exposition of the memorial hall, dedicated to life and work of O.Osmerkin and the exhibition of children’s drawings   “Architectural gems of our town”.
