On November
20, 2015 the exhibition of children’s works “We love Ukraine!” to Day of Dignity and
Freedom took was opened in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. The exhibition was organized
together with Kirovohrad children’s art school named after O.O.Osmerkin and Kirovohrad
children’s school of arts (thevillage of Nove).
More than 30 works made in different techniques by pupils aged 11-15 years
are exhibited in the museum. Paintings, watercolours, gouache compositions, pencil
drawings, works of decorative and applied art such as embroideries, batik, vytynanka,
collages and appliques brightly realize diversity of Ukrainian national tradition.
Young artists were congratulated on the exhibition opening by deputy mayor of
Kirovohrad S.Kolodiazhnyi, head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Kirovohrad
Town Council A.Nazarets, head of the board of Kirovohrad regional organization of the
National Union of Artists of Ukraine A.Khvorost, director of Kirovohrad children’s art
school named after O.O.OsmerkinH.Ivanova and head of Fine Art Department of Kirovohrad
children’s school of arts, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine
Yu.Vintenko, who made special mention of his 11 year old pupil Mark Bilichenko and
presented him with album of a famous artist Marc Chagall, and also gave to the museum
funds a rare book – poetic collection of 1926 of Serhii Esenin, that is rather symbolic
as O.Osmerkin was a friend with poet of genius.
A music gift was performed by pupils of Kirovohrad children’s school of
arts – laureate of I prize of V Opened International Festival-Competition of Music and
Academic Singing “Gold Starfall” (Dnipropetrovsk, 2013) piano player Valentyna
Tkachenko and vocal ensemble which sang a song “For Ukraine”.
The young artists received bookmarks and postcards from the museum. |
