On November 26, 2015 a traditional event – “Art lectures” to O.O.Osmerkin anniversary took place in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. The theme of this year lectures was “Work of painters – graduates of Evening Drawing Classes of Elisabethgrad zemstvo real school” to the 135th anniversary of Evening Drawing Classes.
   Students from different Kirovohrad educational establishments – Art and Graphic Subdepartment of Art Department of State Pedagogical University named after V.Vynnychenko, College of Civil Engineering field of study “architectural design and interior” and also Vocal Department of Musical College - expressed a wish to show their knowledge in history of fine art and art history.
   Supervised by their teachers Ph.D. in History of Arts O.Kirichenko, Ph.D in Pedagogical Sciences Yu.Malezhyk, member of the National Union of Architects T.Penyaz’ and teacher of “History of culture of Kirovohrda region” L.Frenchko young scientists prepared rather interesting reports and video presentation on life and work of well-known fellow painters – O.O.Osmerkina, A.Nurnberg, P.Pokarzhevs’kyy, O.Foynyts’kyy, O.Razu,nyy, P.Fedorovs’kyy, John Venger and many others, who graduated from Evening Drawing Classes of Elisabethgrad zemstvo real school.
   The host of the art lectures was the leading research officer of the museum – Merited Artist pf Ukraine, art historian A.Nadezhdin.
   A huge interest was attracted by the reports of the 4th year students of Art and Graphic Subdepartment of Art Departmentof State Pedagogical University named after V.Vynnychenko – Bohdan Herashchenko which covered work and pedagogical activity of the Professor of Moscow Art Institute named after V.Surikov Petr Pokarzhevskiy, and research in art history on Olexander Osmerkin work made by Natalya Kukharenko about the role of colour in works of this prominent master, Olexandra Burdienko’s work on methods of expressiveness in portrait images and Anastasia Bilous’s report on ideological influence of totalitarian regime on work of the painter and the 4th year student Dar’ya Zhabokryts’ka skillfully developed a theme of plastic expressiveness of his paintings. By the way, all the students who spoke on work of O.Osmerkin were presented theme booklets “Life of the painter in photographs” with rare photos of the master from the museum collection by the museum director V.Chernova.The booklet was published in 2007 to the 115th anniversary of O.Osmerkin.
   Works of the students of College of Civil Engineering, field of study “architectural design and interior”, also should be noted – research by Valeriya Borzunova about Elisavethrad citizen Petr Fedorovs’kyy – Russian architect and painter who emigrated to China, Harbin, and research by Iryna Dmytrieva about American scenographer, painter and graphic artist of Elisavethrad origin John Venger.
   Maryana Kozonak a student of Vocal Department of Musical College, who came to study to Kirovohrad from Moldova, told about work of Merited Cultural Worker of Moldavian SSR, one of the founders of Moldavian soviet fine art and organizer of the Union of Artists of Moldova Olexander Foynyts’kyy.
   Ph.D. in History of Art, associate professor of Art Department of State Pedagogical University named after V.Vynnychenko Olena Kyrychenko, who is a laureate of Regional Award in fine arts and study of art named after Olexander Osmerkin in the nomination "study and history of arts", said in her closing speech that participation in such educational events is a good stimulus for students to make researches and promote history of art in Kirovohrad.
