On October 8,
2015 an opening of a personal exhibition of paintings by a famous Kirovohrad artist a
member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine took place in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial
Museum. Also a catalogue “Art labyrinths of Ihor Smychek” was presented within a
framework of the initiated by the museum art project of a series of art exhibitions “Laureates
of Regional Award in fine arts and study of art named after Olexander Osmerkin” which is
aimed at promotion of work of Kirovohrad artists – laureates of the award in the
nominations “national tradition” and “modern tendencies” and presupposes
organization of personal exhibitions and publishing of catalogues with art articles about
artists and reproductions of their best works.
Smychek Ihor Volodymyrovych – laureate of the award in 2009 in the
nomination “modern tendencies”. I.Smychek was congratulated on the opening of the
exhibition by colleagues, worshipers of his works and regional and town officials. Deputy
directorof the Department of Culture, Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Kirovohrad Regional
State Administration V.Kolos presented to the artist Diploma on the occasion of Painter’s
Day.
A music greeting was a performance of the teachers of Kirovohrad music
school ¹1 named after H.Neuhaus.
