An opening of a personal exhibition of works by a well-known Ukrainian artist People’s artist of Ukraine M.Nadezhdin took place on May 18, 2015 in A.A.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. It was dedicated to the painter’s 80th anniversary and was held within the framework of the series of art exhibitions “In the painter’s studio” initiated by the museum. Also a catalogue “Self-portrait. Art reflections of Mykhaylo Nadezhdin” was presented at the opening of the exhibition.
   Current vernisage was festive not only for the worshipers of M.Nadezhdin’s works but also for the painter himself because on this day he was congratulated on his birthday. The artist received a lot of flowers, gifts and sincere wishes.
   Not only people of art came to congratulate the artist but also officials of the region and town – the head of Kirovograd Regional State Administration S.Kuzmenko, the head of the Regional Council O.Chornoivanenko and the secretary of the Town Council I.Markovskyy. They gave letters of commendation and valuable presents to M.Nadezhdin for his work of many years and a considerable contribution to the development of art of Kirovograd region. Also the artist received greeting messages from the head of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine V.Chepelyk and his countrymen from Sumy region.
   A nice surprise was a music greeting from talented pupils and teachers of Kirovograd music school №1 named after H.Neuhaus, who impressed all the present.
   The exhibition left no one indifferent. The guests contemplated paintings and graphic works of the famous artist of fine art in the exhibition halls and Mykhaylo Nadezhdin gave autographs on the pages of the exhibition catalogue and communicated with everyone who took interest in his works.
