Kirovograd dwellers and visitors celebrated 260th anniversary of Elisavetgrad-Kirovograd
on September 20, 2014. III Central-Ukrainian museum and tourism festival was held on that
day. A.A.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum traditionally took an active part in all art events.
The museum presented two exhibitions within the framework of the
competitions of museum sector of III Central-Ukrainian museum and tourism festival on the
Theatre Square near Kirovograd Academic Regional Ukrainian Theatre of Music and Drama
named after M.Kropyvnytski. The exhibitions were: photo-documentary exhibition “Model of
artistic architecture” to the 100th anniversary from death of Elisabethgrad architect
Ya.V.Pauchenko within the framework of the competition of mini-exhibitions “Museum gems
of Kirovograd region” and the exhibition “For tourists to remember”. Advertising
printed production of A.A.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum” to the 20th anniversary of the
museum opening for the visitors within the framework of the competition of presentation of
museum publications of tourism and local studies sector.
And two no less original exhibitions from the museum collection were
shown at Kovalivs’ki Park – “Yakov Pauchenko’s town” and “Stop and admire”.
The first one showed copies of the unique documents, sketches of architectural projects
and photographs from Yakov Pauchenko’s family album. At the second visitors were able to
see famous Kirovograd photo journalist Ihor Demchuk’s colour photographs of the
buildings constructed on the projects of Elizabethgrad architect Ya.Pauchenko and which
are situated in the city centre.
It is pleasant to mention that during the festive events of III
Central-Ukrainian museum and tourism festival the museum was awarded Diploma of the winner
of the regional competition “The best museum institution” for II place in the
nomination “The best exhibition project” for the presentation of the initiated by the
museum art project “Laureates of Regional Alexander Osmerkin Award in fine arts and
study of art” which is aimed at popularization of Kirovograd artists’ creative work
– the laureates of the Award in the nominations “national tradition” and “new
tendencies” and proposes organization of personal exhibitions and publication of
catalogues with articles about the artists and reproductions of their best works.
Within the framework of this art-event the museum presented two
personal exhibitions of Kirovograd masters in 2013 – People’s artist of Ukraine
M.Nadezhdin’s “Pictorial symphonies of Mykhaylo Nadezhdin” and Honoured painter of
Ukraine A.Yanev’s “Art horizons of Anatoliy Yanev”. Vernisages of the talented
painters drew a wide response in the artistic circles of eth town and region, there were
many publications by the museum research workers in all-Ukrainian and local printed mass
media. |
