A
presentation of personal photo exhibition “Moments from life of Osmerkin Museum” of
famous Kirovograd photographer, a member of the National Union of journalists of Ukraine
Alexander Kolominov took place on June 20, 2014. The exhibition was dedicated to the 20th
anniversary of the museum. It is a joint project of Alexander Kolominov and A.A.Osmerki
Art-Memorial Museum. Its aim is to present the image of the museum as one of the
components of person’s life in XXI century. Thirty five photographs and photo collages,
which comprise an exposition of the exhibition, reflect a general portrait of a museum
environment with fine architecture of the museum building and its wonderful interiors,
vernissages, meetings and art events, interested visitors and full of ideas museum
researches.
The museum opened its doors for the visitors on June 21, 1994. This was
preceded by nine long years of repair and restoration works. The painter’s wife
N.Osmerkina took an active part in creation of the museum. As an architect she worked out
a project of a museum building reconstruction and gave paintings and graphic works, the
painter’s archive and his personal items to the museum. For 20 years the museum
presented more than 200 exhibitions, held hundreds of cultural and art events. The museum
stuff has been awarded letters of commendation and appreciation of Kirovograd regional
State administration, Kirovograd town council, the National Union of artists of Ukraine
for high professionalism, active exhibiting activity, success in popularization of fine
art. And in 2001 and 2012 the museum stuff was presented in the Hall of Fame as “The
best cultural establishment”.
So, both the museum staff and the photo master A.Kolominov were congratulated
this day. The head of the Department of culture and tourism of Kirovograd town council
A.Nazarets by order of the secretary of the town council I.Merkovskogo presented a letter
of commendation of Kirovograd town council and executive committee to the museum stuff.
Friendly greetings and warm wishes were said by the director of Kirovograd publishing
house “Imeks-LTD” T.Samilyak, where A.Kolominov works as an official photographer, and
from the colleagues – stuffs of I.Karpenko-Kary Literary-Memorial Museum, Museum of
musical culture named after K. Szymanowski, Regional Art Museum and also from Kirovograd
regional organization of the National Union of artists of Ukraine and from Kirovograd
children’s music school ¹1 named after H.Neihaus. A.Kolominov received a letter of
commendation from the museum and an appreciation from the Department of culture and
tourism of Kirovograd town council. |
