Lectures on
art history took place in A.A.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum before the celebration of the
birthday (December 8) of a famous painter and teacher. This year they were dedicated to
the creative work of Kirovograd painters – laureates of regional awards in the sphere of
art.
Active participants of the event were students of Artistic and Graphic
Section of the Art Department of V.V.Vynnychenko State Kirovograd University. Their
research reports were devoted to the famous painters of Kirovograd region – Honoured
painter of Ukraine Hryhoriy Hnatuk and Honoured Worker of Culture of Ukraine, painter of
Kirovograd academic regional puppet theatre Vasiliy Ostapenko – both laureates of
Regional Alexander Osmerkin Award in fine arts and study of art in the nominations “new
tendencies” and “national tradition”; and also to the family of masters of ceramics
Firsovy – Nikolay, Neli, and their sons Alexander and Serhiy, who are the members of the
National Union of artists of Ukraine and laureates of Regional Yakov Pauchenko Award in
the sphere of architecture, heraldy and veksilology and decorative and applied art in the
nomination “decorative and applied art”.
Students prepared interesting videopresentations which were the result of the
research of many printed art history and journalistic materials in the funds of library
and acquaintance with the painters’ works from the museum and private collections. Olga
Dudnik, Irina Ignatieva and Yaroslava Ketlinskaya told about life and career of the
painters. Students worked under the guidance of the associate professor of the
Subdepartment of Fine Art and Graphic Design, Candidate of History of Art E.Kirichanko,
who is also a laureate of Regional Alexander Osmerkin Award in fine arts and study of art
in the nomination “study and history of arts”; and senior lecturer, member of the
National Union of masters of folk art of Ukraine L.Harbuzenko.
In conclusion all the participants saw round the exhibition of the works by
the nominees for Regional Alexander Osmerkin Award in fine arts and study of art 2013 and
they also received museum booklets as gifts. |
