On April 5, 2023,
the O.O.Osmerkin Memorial Art Museum started the artistic project "Art
Studios" under one more theme: "Museum still life". Since the museum
exhibition during the martial law in Ukraine was dismantled in order to
preserve paintings and other rare items, Kropyvnytskyi artists who are
permanent participants of the art project "Art Studios", led by its
curator and leading researcher of the museum Olha Krasnopolska, decided
to popularize interesting objects from of the museum collection in
thematic still lifes.
After all, it is museums that preserve the memory of humanity,
protecting the material carriers of this memory in the form of things.
And artists have the ability to read the information that is encoded in
the objects of material and artistic culture of mankind, and use it for
the development of society - reproducing it in artistic images,
conveying the spiritual experience of a person and contributing to the
establishment of connections between generations.
It is symbolic that the first was "Still Life with the "Borodyansky
Cockerel" and the red viburnum" with Ukrainian symbols of indomitability
and stability in the struggle for territorial integrity and the future
of our country. Olha Krasnopolska, Nataliia Kornilova and Iryna
Kukharenko recreated a thematic production on the background of an
embroidered towel, sheet and fragments of camouflage fabric in various
graphic techniques - tempera, gouache, pastel. The artist Olga Shulyak
joined the study virtually, by the way, a permanent participant of the
museum art project of the Biennale of naïve art and art of primitivism "Velur
cat" named after Andrii Lipatov to the All-Ukrainian Day of Cultural
Workers and Masters of Folk Art, and sent her painting work done on
viber on canvas with acrylic paints.
The next was "Passionate still life on the eve of Easter"
with works of sacred art surrounded by cartridges and projectiles -
icons of horses. 19 and beginning 20th century, which have reached us
through the centuries, having overcome wars and contempt for faith, and
inspire confidence in the victory of good over evil.
Iryna Kukharenko, who is a member of two creative unions at
once - the National Union of Architects of Ukraine and the National
Union of Artists of Ukraine and has repeatedly presented her personal
exhibitions at the museum, suggested reproducing still lifes with
memorial items from the house of the architect Yakiv Pauchenko and from
the workshop of his nephew, painting professor Oleksandr Osmerkin. She
was enthusiastically supported by the participants of the studios,
because the museum not only preserves the creative heritage of two
talented personalities, but also continues the artistic traditions that
have always prevailed in this elegant building, which is the decoration
of Architect Pauchenko Street.
Adhering to the ideas that "Art is learned in the museum" and
"Beauty will save the world", the participants of the art project "Art
Studios" invite everyone who is fond of visual arts to join the artistic
action, because nowadays every Ukrainian maintains his front - military,
volunteer, humanitarian , informative and artistic. During the war, art
and culture change formats, but do not lose their value. |
