On April 7 and 10, 2023, the
O.O.Osmerkin Memorial Art Museum exhibited a mobile exhibition of
posters "Icon-painting workshop of Yakov Pauchenko" in the Tourist
Information Center of the city of Kropyvnytskyi as part of artistic
events to Easter (April 16), organized by the Department of Culture and
Tourism of the Kropyvnytskyi City advice
Participants of creative master classes on making traditional
Ukrainian Easter eggs under the guidance of the director of the
O.O.Osmerkin art school, Hanna Timofienko, and on painting ginger-honey
gingerbread cookies, which she baked herself and was taught to paint by
Olena Petrychuk, an employee of the Kropyvnytskyi Rehabilitation Center
for Children with Disabilities, had the opportunity not only to master
the art of making Easter goodies, but also to get acquainted with an
interesting thematic exhibition.
The exposition of the exhibition became a landmark event,
because the work of the talented architect Yakov Vasyliovych Pauchenko
(1866-1914), one of the creators of the architectural face of the
historical center of modern Kropyvnytskyi, was closely connected with
sacred art. According to his projects, many temples were built,
including Holy Ascension Cathedral in the city of Bobrynetz, Kirovohrad
region, which is a monument of architecture and urban planning of
national importance. Yakiv Pauchenko successfully managed the
iconostasis, artistic icon painting and gilding workshop inherited from
his father Vasyl Semenovych. The exposition of the mobile exhibition
consists of sixteen posters depicting unique photographs, documents,
sketches and projects that tell about the activities of Yakov
Pauchenko's icon-painting workshop, as well as reproductions of icons
from the museum's collection of sacred art, one of which is "The Virgin
and Child" 19th century, according to the assumption, it was made in
this workshop. |
