On October 7, 2021, the art event "Art Studios" was held in the O.O.Osmerkin Art Memorial Museum with the participation of 2nd-year students of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Arts of the Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Vinnichenko, organized on the initiative of the senior teacher of the Department of Art Education Larisa Kulinich, who offered to recreate a floral still life with a graphite pencil in the manner of the Honored Artist of Ukraine Natalia Martyniuk.
    Beginner artists first familiarized themselves with the exposition of the personal exhibition of the works of the famous Odesa artist Natalia Martyniuk, the Honored Artist of Ukraine, "Graphic Compositions", and also viewed a photo presentation about the artist and the video film "Until she left..." about an impromptu exhibition of still life painting in the workshop, arranged in in 2013 by Odessa artists, among whom was Nataliya Martyniuk.
    Professional artists also took part in the "Art Studios" - leading researcher of the museum, Honored Artist of Ukraine Andrii Nadezhdin and head of the fine arts department of the Children's Art School, Olga Krasnopolska, who visited the museum for the presented exhibition.
    For almost four hours, students performed a creative task. Their teacher is Larisa Kulinich, who is a well-known artist in our city, a member of the National Union of Artists and Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine, laureate of the regional award in the field of architecture, heraldry and vexillology and decorative and applied art named after Yakiv Pauchenko in the nomination "decorative and applied art", she explained not only the features of pencil drawing and shading techniques, but also gave sound individual advice to everyone.
    At the end of the educational and artistic event, the Honored Artist of Ukraine Andriy Nadezhdin, who worked as a teacher at the Oleksandr Osmerkin Art School for many years, explained the basic principles of using the means of artistic expression in the technique of drawing with a graphic pencil, in particular the system of building a composition, the role of tone saturation and the movement of the line to reveal the image, noting that the main thing in the creative process is the discovery of one's own artistic view, which is possible only on the basis of deep knowledge.
    And teacher Larisa Kulinich noted that it is extremely useful for students to work creatively together with professional artists during studios, plein airs, master classes, directly gaining professional artistic experience and improving knowledge of the academic school of painting.
