On September 12, 2020, an exhibition of works “Portrait
of the Town: Architectural Gems of Yakiv Pauchenko” by the students of the Art Studio
“Sovushka” was presented in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum to Town Day within the
museum art projects “Gallery of Children’s Art”.
The peculiarity of the event was the exposition of the exhibition
presented outside the museum. The festive vernissage was held in the open air according to
all the epidemic-prevention rules. After the event, the exhibition was transferred to the
memorial hall of the museum.
Annually in summer, the Art Studio “Sovushka” headed by a famous in
our town and beyond master of pysanka art and decorative painting, a member of the
National Union of Folk Art Artists of Ukraine Tetiana Storozhenko organized plein air “Portrait of the town”.
Young artists make art trips and represent the most beautiful parts of the historical
center of Kropyvnytskyi in their works. This year, students dedicated the plein air to the
work of an outstanding Yelisavethrad architect Yakiv Pauchenko, whose magnificent
buildings, constructed in different neostyles of the end of the 19th – beginning of the
20th century, are real architectural landmarks of our steppe town.
The exhibition offers more than thirty original drawings made with
gouache by the students aged 6-10.
All the participants of the exhibition received original Diplomas with
the image of their drawing and the museum and Art Studio “Sovushka” logos, as well as
the booklet developed by the museum and a themed booklet “Town of Yakiv Pauchenko”.
The presents were handed by the head of the studio Tetiana Storozhenko and the leading
researcher of the museum, Merited Artist of Ukraine Andrii Nadezhdin. The most active
students SofiikaLychukand SofiikaTsapenko presented their drawings to the museum. The
drawings depict the museum building and were created en plein air on June 2 outside the
museum. SofiikaLychuk made a speech and told everyone about interesting activities during
the summer plein airs.
The museum director Vita Chernova congratulated the students of the Art
Studio “Sovyshka” on the opening of the exhibition and handed the Letter of
Acknowledgment to the head of the studio Tetiana Storozhenko. The leading researcher of
the museum, Merited Artist of Ukraine Andrii Nadezhdin mentioned in his speech that every
drawing from the exhibition is a personal, unique perspective on complicated architectural
plastics of the buildings constructed on the projects of a talented architect Yakiv
Pauchenko. He also presented Sofiia Lychuk and SofiiaTsapenko with catalogs of the works
of the creative Nadezhdin family signed by himself and the People’s Artist of Ukraine
Mykhailo Nadezhdin. The youngest participant of the exhibition Artem Ptashnyk also
received the museum booklets. Merited Folk Art Artist of Ukraine Oleksandra Prenko said
kind words about the head of the studio and creative wishes to young artists. The first
visitors of the exhibition were Merited Artist of Ukraine SerhiiShapovalov, who created
many town landscapes with ancient architecture, and tourists from Kyiv.
“Sovushka” vernissage ended with a traditional photoshoot
outside the museum. |
