On August 3, 2020, the awarding of a
laureate of the Regional Award in the sphere of architecture, heraldry and vexillology and
decorative and applied art named after Yakiv Pauchenko in 2020 in the nomination “decorative
and applied art” took place in Kirovohrad Regional Council.
The final meeting of the contest committee was held on March 10, 2020,
but due to the lockdown aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus COVID-19, it was
impossible to award the laureate on the day of birth of the architect Yakiv Pauchenko on
March 21.
According to the results of the secret voting in the nomination “decorative
and applied art” won the monumental panels in the mosaic technique: “Old Testament”,
“Christinization of Kievan Rus”, a triptych “John the Baptist”, “Most Holy
Mother of God”, and “St. Righteous Elizabeth” 2017-2018 made on the area of the
Cathedral Church of Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary in the town of Kropyvnytskyi
author - an artist, a teacher of Art School named after O.O.Osmerkin, a head of the
Department of Architecture and Construction of the Kirovohrad eparchy of the Orthodox
Church of Ukraine, a churchman of the Church of Siant Nicholas Oleksandr Kryvko.
On August 04, 2020, Oleksandr Kryvko visited O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial
Museum. The museum director Vita Chernova congratulated the laureate of the award on
receiving the honorary award and presented him with a souvenir cup with the image of the
museum. The leading researcher of the museum, Merited Artist of Ukraine Andrii Nadezhdin,
and an artist from Kropyvnytskyi, a member of the National Unions of Artists and Folk Art
Artists of Ukraine Olha Kolomiiets joined in the congratulating. Olha Kolomiiets is also a
laureate of the Regional Award in the sphere of architecture, heraldry, vexillology, and
decorative and applied art named after Yakiv Pauchenko in the nomination “decorative and
applied art”. On that day she was creating a pictorial portrait of the museum – the
house of a talented architect Yakiv Pauchenko. |
