First visitors of the museum after the lockdown

On June 10, 2020, O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum was reopened for visitors with all theanti-epidemic measures observed. For a visit to be comfortable and safe the Department of Culture and Tourism of the City Council of the town of Kropyvnytskyi provided all the necessary personal protective equipment for the museum staff. The museum officials developed a record of visiting the museum exposition according to the recommendations of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to the organization of anti-epidemic measures when realizing allowed activities which presuppose accepting visitors indoors during the lockdown, and All-Ukraine Public Organization “Ukrainian Committee of the Council of Museums “ICOM” on the safety of visitors and the museum staff.
A hand disinfection area with sanitizer is available in the reception area. There are markings in the exhibition halls for visitors to keep a social distance of 1,5 m. Also, a maximum number of visitors who can be in the museum at the same time and enter the same exhibition hall was specified at not more than 1 person per 5 sq.m. of the premises. Also, the average duration of stay in the museum including guided tours was determined. The information on new rules of the museum visiting is displayed in the reception area and on the website.
It is pleasant to note that on the first day of the museum reopening, a famous photographer Oleksandr Maiorov with a young artist and a pupil, a correspondent of the newspaper “Pervaja Horodskaja Hazeta” Khrystyna Kovalevska, and a student of Lviv National Musical Academy named after Mykola Lysenko Roman Iievskyi came to the museum.
Everyone was fascinated by the art exhibitions because the majority of them have been opened at the beginning of March but the lockdown prevented visitors from exploring them. As usual, the exposition of the memorial hall made special impression on the visitors. Roman Iievskyi, impressed by the acoustics of the hall, where he has already performed many times before, played on his flute. He decided to perform his music works for the state finals online, which has already become a usual part of modern education.
We invite the worshipers of visual art to visit the museum and enjoy the pictorial energy of the displayed works which rise above everyday life and radiate optimism. We are waiting for you, dear visitors!
