On April 18, 2019, O.O.Osmerkin
Art-Memorial Museum took partin the round table “My Town” dedicated to
the 265th anniversary of the town of Kropyvnytskyi foundation. The round
table was organized by the Department of Town Planning and Architecture
of the City Council of Kropyvnytskyi, the Subdepartment of Cultural
Heritage Conservation, headed by Nadiia Lisniak, inparticular.
The round table was organized on the occasion of the National Day of
Historical and Cultural Monuments and International Day for Monuments
and Sites, aimedatraisingawareness of the diversity of cultural
heritage, the need to protectit, and make effective efforts to
preserveit for future generations.
Those who are engaged in the preservation of cultural monuments, local
history researchers, archeologists, architects, historians, museum and
archives staff members, social activists as well as the mayor Andrii
Raikovych and the secretary of the City Council Andrii Tabalov who
mentioned the achievements of the researchers of the historical and
cultural heritage of the town by Letters of Appreciation from the City
Council of Kropyvnytslyi, including the museum staff.
During the round table, Andrii Nadezhdin, the leading researcher of the
museum, conducted a presentation Architectural Gems of Kropyvnytskyi
following the museum art project “At the Crossroads of the Street of
Yelisavethrad – Kirovohrad to Town Day 2014-2018”.
Traveling theme expositions presented by the museum at the halls of the
City Council impressed all the present. The expositions were the
following: “Yakiv Pauchenko’s Town” about life and work of a talented
Yelisavethrad architect Yakiv Pauchenk o who is among the creators of
the buildings in the historical city center of Kropyvnytskyi, and the
exhibition of the author’s photos of Ihor Demchuk, Merited Journalist of
Ukraine Architectural Gems of Kropyvnytskyi, which presents the town
streets in photos demonstrating continuityof architectural language from
the times the town was founded and till the present as one inseparable
history of a construction of a unite urban environment; the exhibition
was shown at the museum in 2014-2018 within the art project to Town Day
“At the Crossroads of the Street of Yelisavethrad – Kirovohrad”; and in
2018, the publishing house IMEKS-LTD, sponsored by the City Council of
Kropyvnytskyi within the program of the development of culture and
tourism, published a photo album “The city of five names. At the
crossroads of styles and epochs. Architectural images of the city of
Kropyvnytskyi captured by Ihor Demchuk” in two languages, in Ukrainian
and English.
