On August 28, 2018 an exhibition “Bloomy Ukraine” was opened in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. The exhibition presents works from the museum collection “Modern Ukrainian Fine Art” and was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
    The National Union of Artists of Ukraine – is an all-Ukrainian creative non-governmental organization of professional artists and art historians. On October 27, 1938 at the I convention of artists of Ukrainian SSR the Union of Soviet Artists of Ukraine was established. It was a part of the Union of Artists of the USSR till 1991. The Union received the national status in 1998 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the organization foundation. The National Union of Artists of Ukraine includes 33 regional, city, and local organizations including Kyiv and Sevastopol organizations. Kirovohrad regional organization of the NUAU was founded in 1989. A bright page of the artistic establishment of the regional union of the NUAU was cooperation with O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. Personal and group exhibitions of the fellow artists, events on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the Union of Artists of Ukraine in 1998 and the 10th anniversary of the foundation of the regional organization in 1999 took place in the museum. In the early 2000s exhibitions from the funds of the  Directorate of Art Exhibitions of the NUAU were successfully presented at the museum – “Masters of Painting”, “Exhibition of paintings and graphic works of People’s Artist of Ukraine Serhii Shyshko”, “A high mountain standing…” to the 175th anniversary of L.I.Hlibov, “Taras’s paths” to the 190th anniversary of T.H.Shevchenko, “Drawing of the Crimean artists”, “Khortytsia through the centuries” and also the national exhibition “Picturesque Ukraine” within International literature and art Shevchenko fest “In free new family…” (2005).
    The exposition of the presented exhibition consists of works of the prominent and well-known masters – founders of the regional union of artists: People’s Artist of Ukraine Mykhailo Nadezhdin, Merited Artists of Ukraine Borys Vintenko, Serhii Shapovalov, Anatolii Yaniev, Nelia Firsova, Feliks Polonskii and Andrii Nadezhdin, Merited Worker of Culture of Ukraine Leonid Bondar, members of the Union of Artists of the USSR Volodymyr Fedorov, Oleksandr Lohvyniuk, and Mykola Bondarenko, members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine YuriiHoncharenko, YuriiVintenko, Mariia Tserna, Volodymyr Tovkailo, and many others. The majority of them are laureates of the regional awards in fine art and the history of art named after Oleksandr Osmerkin and in the sphere of architecture, heraldry and vexillology, and decorative and applied art named after Yakiv Pauchenko.
    Also, works of the artists from different Ukrainian cities whose artistic compositions had already been shown in the museum – People’s artist of Ukraine Anatolii Horbenko and Merited artists of Ukraine Anatolii and Halyna Kravchenko from Odesa, Merited Worker of Culture of Ukraine Mykhailo Svatula and member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Merited Worker of Culture of Halychyna Volodymyr Lypovyi from Lviv, and member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Tetiana Sosulina from Cherkasy.
    More than 50 paintings and decorative pieces of art, created from the 1980s to nowadays, are shown at the exhibition. Lyrical landscapes and floral still lifes give you the atmosphere of the artistic fest, brightly conveying a special, unique coloristic of Ukrainian palette.
