Nadiia Heorhiivna Osmerkina – a widow of the artist, took an
active part in the creation of the museum in 1985. Being an architect
she developed a project of the reconstruction of the museum building. It
presupposed the renovation of the building to its original state and
replanning of the interior in order to create expositional halls.
Vitalii Yefremovych Kryvenko told about this – at that time he was head
of the Department of Town Planning, Architecture, Land Planning, and
Land-Use of Kirovohrad Executive Committee. He discussed with Nadiia
Heorhiivna the details of the project, maintained general supervision
over the constructional work on the reconstruction of the ancient
mansion.
It should be mentioned that Vitalii Yefremovych Kryvenko as a
well-known architect and head of Kirovohrad Regional Branch of Ukrainian
Heraldic Society is one of the initiators of the establishment by
Regional Council of the Award in the sphere of architecture, heraldry,
and vexillology and decorative and applied art named after Yakiv
Pauchenko in 2002. He was a laureate of the award in 2004 and 2018.
Also, he was among the initiators to name the street where O.O.Osmerkin
Art-Memorial Museum - Historical, town planning, and architectural
monument of 1899 “Residence building of Pauchenko” is situated, after a
talented architect Yakiv Vasyliovych Pauchenko, who created the
architecture of the historical center of Elisavethrad (now
