On March 21, 2018 a celebratory event on the occasion of the awarding of Regional Award in the sphere of architecture, heraldry and vexillology and decorative and applied art named after Yakiv Pauchenko in 2018 took place in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. The peculiarity of this year event is that according to the resolution of Kirovohrad Regional Council from August 22, 2017 №362 the awarding was held exactly on the birth day of a talented architect Yakiv Pauchenko for the first time.
    This year the award was given only in one nomination “heraldry and vexillology” for the creation of symbolics of Oleksandriiski and Petriovski districts of Kirovohrad region to the development team of: Merited Architect of Ukraine, a citizen of honour of the town Kirovohrad (now Kropyvnytskyi), head of Kirovohrad regional department of Ukrainian Heraldic Society Vitalii Kryvenko, executive secretary of Kirovohrad regional department of Ukrainian Heraldic Society, director of the Museum of Music Culture named after Karol Szymanowski Oleksandr Poliachok and member of Ukrainian Heraldic Society, candidate of  Historical Sciences, associate professor of Social Sciences and Document Sciences of Central Ukrainian National Technical University Mykola Tupchiienko.
    Honoured rewards – certificate of a standard pattern, pecuniary reward, honorary reward of Regional Council and Regional State Administration - statuette of "Steppe eagle" were awarded to the laureates by first deputy head of Kirovohrad Regional State Administration Serhii Kovalenko and deputy head of Kirovohrad Regional Council Ihor Stepura.
    A honorary certificate of Kirovohrad Regional Council was given to Volodymyr Filimonov – a member of Ukrainian Heraldic Society, twice laureate of the Award in the sphere of architecture, heraldry and vexillology and decorative and applied art named after Yakiv Pauchenko in the nomination “heraldry and vexillology” (2010, 2016).
    During the event, congratulations were said not only for the laureates of the award, but also for the winners of the library-research papers competition among pupils and students on topic: “Architectural legacy of Yakiv Pauchenko”, which was initiated by the Department of Regional Development, Town Planning and Architecture of Kirovohrad Regional State Administration. Head of the Department Viktoriia Kulikova, who, by the way, expands her efforts for popularization of the award named after Yakiv Pauchenko, handed the certificates to the students of Kirovohrad College of Construction, “architectural and interior design by special field, and wished them to achieve their professional goal to become successful architects.
    Also congratulatory speeches were made by head of Kirovohrad regional department of Architectural Chamber of Ukraine Yurii Peniaz, head of Kirovohrad regional organization of trade union of workers of construction and industrial constructional materials Hryhorii Sviatun, who handed Certificate to the head of the Department of Regional Development, Town Planning and Architecture of Kirovohrad Regional State Administration Viktoriia Kulikova on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of foundation of this department, and director of the institute “Ahroproekt” Merited Builder of Ukraine Petro Dovchenko, who presented his book “Smile – is a reflection of a state on mind” (Kharkiv, 2016) to Mykola Tupchiienko and to the museum.
    And the performance of a fourth year student on a class of violin of Kirovohrad Music College Mariia Poliachok and an accompanist Svitlana Kontsedalova was a music gift to the laureates and all the present.
