On December 5, 2017 an opening of an exhibition of works by pupils of Children Art School named after O.O.Osmerkin “Cheerful colors of childhood” dedicated to the 125th anniversary of a prominent painter and pedagogue O.O.Osmerkin took place in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum.
    The exposition of the exhibition consisted of more than 60 works by young artists aged from 11 to 16 years, made in different techniques – paintings and graphic compositions, sculpture works and decorative articles.
    The young artists were congratulated on the exhibition opening by the chief specialist of town Department of Culture and Tourism V.V.Petrynska, the school director H.V.Tymofienko and the leading researcher of the museum, Merited Artist of Ukraine A.M.Nadezhdin who gave to the school library art poster and booklet “Palette of the master of painting Oleksandr Osmerkin”. And all the present pupils and teachers of the art school received a small calendar for the next year with a reproduction of O.O.Osmerkin’s painting “Green coat” (1947) with the image of the painter’s wife NadiiaHeorhiivna portrait, who is an initiator of the creation of the museum in the artist’s native town, a gift. All the present looked through the exposition of the memorial hall with great pleasure.
