On July 18, 2017 a theme exhibition “In the mirror of time…” Portrait in the creative work of artists of pictural studio of Olexandr Osmerkin” was opened in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. The exhibition was opened within art events dedicated to 125th anniversary of a prominent fellowman – artist and pedagogue O.O.Osmerkin.
   Exposition of the exhibition is comprised of more than thirty paintings of famous artists of the Soviet-era – graduates of the studio of professor of painting O.O.Osmerkin in Leninhrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.Yu.Riepina and Moscow Art Institute named after V.I.Surikov. This rare collection of paintings of 1930s – 1980s, which were presented personally by the authors to the museum of their curator, was collected and handed by Russian Fund of Culture in 1994 before the opening of O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum.
   The exhibition unwraps a vivid palette of portrait images, in many of which a reflection of art aesthetics of the late XIX – early XX century is present, which was spoken to the students by professor of painting O.O.Osmerkin.
