On June 15, 2017 an opening of an exhibition “Sing a song into to me, summer” of works by a 3rd year student of Art and Graphic Department of Art Faculty of Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Vynnychenko Uliana Shkurenko took place in O.O.Osmerkin Art-memorial Museum. The exhibition was opened within initiated by the museum project “New generation”, which is aimed at discovering bright, talented individuals in a modern fine art of Ukraine exactly among student youth. The project also presupposes organization of personal and group exhibitions, and also publishing of theme booklets with reproductions of works and articles on art history.
   It is a first personal exhibition for Uliana Shkurenko, despite her significant achievements and participation in the national and international exhibitions and competitions of decorative and applied art. Afterreceiving basic art education in children schools named after T.Ya. Pata in urban-type settlement Petrykivka and named after I.H.Pershudchev in Kamianka town (Dniprodzerzhynsk) of Dnipropetrovsk region, become interested in folk art, she has chosen a profession of an artist. Successfully graduated from Petrykivsk vocational-technical school №79 in specialty “artist of painting on wood” in 2014 she decided to continue her studies in Kropyvnytskyi in Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Vynnychenko at Art and Graphic Department of Art Faculty.
   Uliana Shkurenko as an artist was greatly influenced by her instructor - PhD in Pedagogy, member of the National Union of masters of folk art of Ukraine L.V. Harbuzenko, who initiated the organization of an exhibition of works on topic of Ukrainian songs, performed in authors’ manner in the style of traditional Petrykivka painting that is the talented students’ term thesis.
   Uliana Shkurenko was congratulated on the exhibition opening by head of Art and Graphic Department of Art Faculty of Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Vynnychenko PhD in Pedagogy T.M.Stritievych, assistant professor of the same Department PhD in Pedagogy L.V.Harbuzenko, leading researcher of O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum Merited Artist of Ukraine A.M.Nadezhdin, fellow students, friends and lecturers of the university.
